What it means
The construction is easy once seen. Take the product of every number up to a thousand and one, then add two, then three, and so on up to a thousand and one. The first of those is divisible by two, the second by three, and each in turn by something, so none is prime. Primes are infinite in number and still leave deserts of any width you care to specify somewhere further along the line.
